OffSider AG Equipment: every enquiry tracked from click to sale
Agricultural equipment, Australian-made. A sales-qualified lead system with full sales attribution built in, so every enquiry for their feeders, grids and cattle handling gear is tracked from click to sale.

The situation
OffSider AG Equipment manufactures cattle handling gear in Australia: crushes, feeders, grids and yard equipment. The buyer is a producer making a considered capital purchase, and the competition includes cheaper imported equipment.
On a product like this, enquiry volume is a misleading number. A month with forty enquiries and no sales is worse than a month with eight enquiries and three sales, and without attribution the business cannot tell the two apart.
What we built
- Campaigns across both Google and Meta, split by equipment category rather than run as one bucket.
- Landing pages that lead with the build quality and the Australian-made position, because that is the actual reason the buyer pays more than the imported alternative.
- A qualification layer in the enquiry form covering equipment type, herd size and timeframe.
- Full click-to-sale attribution, so each sale is traceable back to the channel, campaign and query that produced it.
Why the attribution mattered most
Once sales were visible at the campaign level, the picture changed. Channels that looked efficient on cost per enquiry were producing enquiries that did not convert, and channels that looked expensive were producing the actual revenue.
That is the single most common hidden problem on an agricultural equipment account. Optimising on cost per lead quietly pushes budget toward the cheapest, least qualified end of the market, and nothing in the ad platform tells you it is happening.
The lesson for Australian manufacturers
If you compete on build quality against a cheaper import, your marketing has to qualify on willingness to pay, not just on interest. That means saying the price, saying what makes it worth more, and asking a question in the form that separates the producer buying a twenty year asset from the one pricing the cheapest option available.
Qualifying on willingness to pay
Cattle handling gear is bought once every fifteen or twenty years. The producer making that decision is not choosing between two similar options, he is choosing between a cheaper imported unit and an Australian-built one that will still be square in 2045.
Marketing that treats those as the same buyer wastes most of the budget. So the qualification layer asks about herd size, equipment type and timeframe, and the landing pages lead with build quality and the Australian-made position rather than burying it below the fold. The people who leave at that point were never going to buy this product.
What changed operationally
The attribution work had a second effect nobody asks for at the outset: the sales team could see which enquiries came from which campaign, so the follow-up could be prioritised. An enquiry from a query naming a specific crush model is a different call from a general contact-form submission, and it should be made first.
Common questions
- What did Harvest Lead do for OffSider AG Equipment?
- We built a sales-qualified lead system across Google and Meta, split by equipment category, with landing pages leading on build quality and the Australian-made position, a qualification layer covering equipment type, herd size and timeframe, and full click-to-sale attribution so each sale traces back to the channel, campaign and query that produced it. It has generated $300k in tracked revenue.
- Why does attribution matter more than cost per lead on equipment?
- Because the two point in opposite directions. Optimising on cost per lead pushes budget toward the cheapest and least qualified end of the market, and the ad platform gives no warning. Once sales are visible at campaign level, channels that looked efficient on cost per enquiry are often producing enquiries that never convert, while the channels that looked expensive are producing the revenue.
